Our product range also includes medium-density fiberboard, or MDF. The engineered wood product is manufactured with the help of fibers extracted from softwood and hardwood residuals. Panels are made by subjecting the fibers to high pressure and temperature. In general, MDF has a higher density than plywood.

Uses of MDF
Though MDF is made using separated fibers, it is very useful as a building material. It can be used just like plywood. Besides, it is much stronger and denser compared to particleboard. It is also used for making furniture, especially kitchen cabinets, office tables, and cupboards. Thin films of MDF board are used to protect ceramic tiles, marble slabs, etc. As MDF has poor moisture resistance, it is recommended only for indoor use.
Furthermore, the sturdy and durable MDF is fire resistant. It also provides insulation and, therefore, can be used in places where heat loss needs to be prevented. This helps to reduce energy costs. In addition, MDF is known for its excellent soundproofing properties.
